Work Stoppage Affects Foothill Transit Bus Lines

A work stoppage at an operations facility means changes for several Foothill Transit bus lines.

The work stoppage at the Pomona operations facility involves both bus maintenance and bus operations.

The transit agency said the following lines will be affected: 195, 197, 282, 285, 286, 289, 291, 292, 482, 486, 488, 492, 495, 497, 499, 699, 853, 854, and 855.

Addition westbound trips have been added to Line 498 and the Silver Streak in West Covina. Extra service also will be added to Line 493 out of Industry Park and Ride.

“We are working with the contractor in Pomona on a service plan that will bring service back to promised levels as soon as possible,” Foothill Transit said in a statement. “Our first priority is always safety. Service will be restored as safety requirements are met. We appreciate that you choose to ride with us for your commute. Thank you for your patience as we work to accommodate a swiftly changing situation. And we apologize for any inconvenience.”
