Woman killed in Glendale shooting identified

A 67-year-old woman who died in a Glendale shooting Tuesday night has been identified, authorities said on Wednesday.

Hye Soon Oh, of Glendale, was pronounced dead at 9:40 p.m. in a Pasadena hospital, said Ed Winter of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. Winter said an autopsy was pending.

The shooting occurred around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 2900 block of Montrose Avenue, said Glendale police.

The woman, now identified as Oh, was found in a carport suffering from at least one gunshot wound, Glendale police Sgt. Robert William told reporters at the scene.

Witnesses said they saw the shooter getting into a vehicle, but no description of the vehicle or the shooter were immediately available.
