A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her compact car into an Metro bus on Wednesday night in North Hills.

The collision occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday at Sepulveda Boulevard and Nordhoff Street, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Norma Eisenman said.

A passenger on the bus was set to be transported to the hospital but declined to be treated at the facility, Eisenman said.

The bus driver at the scene, who declined to be identified, said there were eight passengers on the bus when the accident occurred, and he was not injured. The driver added he was stopped at the signal when he felt a “bump.”

Eisenman had no further information about the incident.

Rick McClure contributed to this report.
