Winds cut power in San Fernando Valley, Mid-City

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power continued to work on Tuesday morning to restore power to areas including Sherman Oaks, North Hills, Mission Hills, Studio City and other areas largely due to strong winds on Monday night.

As of 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, here are the areas and customers without power:

• Mission Hills with 1,084, with 1,072 expected to have power restored at 1:30 p.m., and the rest by 2:30 p.m.

• Studio City with 772, with expected time of repair at 12:30 p.m.

• Sherman Oaks with 722 customers, with 720 customers set to have power restored at 12:30 p.m., with the others between 1 and 1:30 p.m.

• Mid-City area with 2,754, with power expected to be restored at 12:30 p.m.

• Historic South-Central area with 181, with 171 restored by 1 p.m., and the others at 3:30 p.m.

• North Hills, with 13 people affected, with the problem slated to be fixed by noon
