LOS ANGELES — The lower/arrivals area of the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport was ordered cleared of passengers for nearly an hour today due to a suspicious package.

A canine “alerted” on the package about 11:50 a.m., said Airport Police Officer Rob Pedregon.

A bomb squad was summoned to the scene, and passengers were advised to use the upper level to access the terminal while the investigation was conducted.

The area was declared safe about 12:40 p.m., and police reopened the arrivals area and roadway.
