Just in time for National Puppy Day (Thursday), seven puppies that were rescued from a bogus dog rescue back in January were adopted in Irvine on Wednesday.
Nine of the 19 puppies that were in Megan Ann Hoechstetter’s possession as she allegedly ran “Pawlosophy” and sold sick animals to unsuspecting customers were up adoption at the Irvine Animal Care Center.
About 75 potential adopters attended Wednesday’s event at the center. The adoptions on Wednesday were handled like a lottery, with those interested in taking the puppies home filling out paperwork.
Five more pups rescued from the bogus organization will be made available on Friday. For more information, visit here.
