Authorities are looking for a suspect who attempted kidnap a female Francis Polytechnic Senior High School student on her way to school Monday morning.
KABC-TV posted a video of the incident on their website from a homeowner who caught the confrontation on his surveillance cameras. The video shows a man trying to grab the girl and then driving away in a silver BMW.
The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m. Monday in the 8100 block of Whitsett Avenue in North Hollywood, said Los Angeles School Police Department Sgt. Nestor Gonzalez.
Gonzalez said the student was not injured but “shook up a bit.”
He had no further information.
The location is a few blocks south of the high school at 12431 Roscoe Blvd. in Sun Valley.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman said her department was assisting the school police department on the case.
