A monsoon slammed neighborhoods in the Inland Empire Tuesday, causing trees to topple over houses and damage to residential areas.
The seemingly sudden summer storm caused powerful rain and lightning throughout Southern California. Winds have broken down fences in residential areas and even had parked cars floating downhill from river-like roads.
“It pushed the care back about four to five feet,” Corona resident Thomas Green said. “I had my son run out here and push the e-brake.”
Corona residents are seeing if city crews will be cleaning the mess the storm left behind. However, this is just the beginning of an active weather week.
