Both Clint Eastwood (with “Sully”) and Warren Beatty (with “Rules Don’t Apply”) are very much in the public eye with new work they directed, so a glance back at the great things they did as actors is very much in order.

Eastwood didn’t direct “Escape From Alcatraz” (the great Don Siegal did that) but he is very much front in center as an actor playing a man who may – or may not – have survived a daring escape from “The Rock” in San Francisco’s harbor.
