Pieces of a huge spaceship meant for commercial travel are scattered over miles of the Mojave Desert. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) began their investigation Saturday into the cause of the Virgin Galactic Spaceship Crash.

NTSB Chairman Christopher Harts said they don’t yet know what caused the crash, but that there was “in-flight breakup.” The team found two parachutes in the wreckage, one which deployed and one that did not.
