He’s been playing the violin since the age of five and has performed all over the world. Now, Ukraine-born and Emmy Award-winning composer and musician Edvin Marton will be in concert in Los Angeles for the first time … and he won’t just be playing any old violin. He’ll be performing on a $7 million Stradivarius violin that was made in 1699!!! (It’s true! Marton has to travel with two bodyguards.) But before you think it’s all classical music, think again. Marton performs with an all-girl rock band and incorporates pop songs into his repertoire including music from Michael Jackson, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Godfather soundtrack, plus a rock & roll version of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony. Don’t miss this chance to see Marton’s one-of-a-kind concert at the Valley Performing Arts Center on Saturday, December 6 at 8pm. For tickets and more info, visit www.valleyperformingartscenter.org
