DVDs for the holidays are a noble tradition, and after dealing with television offerings we now are going to turn to film.
From Universal comes a pair of boxed sets featuring much loved performers. “Gregory Peck Centennial Collection” includes “To Kill A Mockingbird” and “Cape Fear” while “Marx Brothers Silver Screen Collection” offers no less than five features:
“Coconuts,” “Animal Crackers,” “Monkey Business,” “Horse Feathers” and the classic “Duck Soup.”
For those who want things a little unexpected, the fine folks at Flicker Alley are offering “The Best of Cinerama,” a look at the best-loved moments provided by the super wide screen process of the 1960s. – Kenneth Turan
