An erratic driver hit more than 10 vehicles along Pacific Coast Highway before overturning onto a Malibu beach Thursday night.
At approximately 11 p.m., a white van was seen driving on PCH at 85 miles per hour with a flat tire, slamming against parked cars near the highway, according to officials.
According to Sgt. Fray Lupian of the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, officials located the van in the ocean just north of the crash site. The vehicle was unoccupied but the driver was later found hiding among rocks.
An estimated five to six tow trucks are working to remove the van from the shore.
The Ventura California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department are investigating this incident. Reports of injuries was not immediately available.
