Just call them the “Bash Brothers.”

The newest member of the Los Angeles Clippers, forward Danilo Gallinari, is out for the remainder of the Eurobasket tournament, taking place in Italy after he injured his right thumb, punching an opponent on Saturday.

Gallinari’s team was facing off against the Netherlands and a scuffle broke out on the court. In the heat of the melee, Gallinari punched Jito Kok, causing the Dutch player to be transported to a local hospital.

The injury is serious enough that Gallinari will miss the remainder of the tournament, but reportedly, it will not require surgery, and Gallinari will  ready for the start of Clippers training camp in September.

Sources say that Gallinari is on his way back to Los Angeles following the injury where he will be examined by Clippers team doctors and a LA based hand specialist.

The 28-year-old former Denver Nuggets product signed a three-year, $65 million deal with the Clippers in July and will form a new “Big Three,” along with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan after the departure of point guard Chris Paul in free agency.

If you recall, Griffin famously broke his hand in the middle of the 2016 season after punching an assistant equipment manager outside of a Toronto restaurant.
