One of the best rock bass players of all time just wrapped a new project: “Low Down.”
Flea, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist and co-founder, worked as executive producer with lead singer Anthony Kiedis for the new biopic film about famed jazz pianist Joe Albany (John Hawkes).
Flea also co-stars in the film.
Based on the memoir by Albany’s daughter, Amy-Jo (Elle Fanning), “Low Down” looks at the complex relationship between the two, his musical ambition and his struggle with heroin.
The film opened Oct. 24 in New York and will show Oct. 31 at Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles.
